Song of the Wind

Today I feel the call to go deeper…
Listen to a wilder call
Blowing into my soul from a windy day,
Clouds upon sandy shore
Blanket the sea-gulls sway,
Tide washing cold over bare feet.

After last night’s long sleep,
Urgency returns
Calling like gypsy that flings a demand
Some merry hike be taken….
Dog off the leash running ahead,
Finding her way down the beach.

Out in the deep is the blow of a whale,
Surfacing to breathe, then diving again.
Out among dreams is the way that is deep,
Healing and sweet as wet spray.
What could I ask more than breeze in my face,
Blowing my way with the song of the wind.
